Fire Marshal Training

Having a designated fire marshal at work is an important part of fire safety, (more on that here). The fire marshal works together with the employer to ensure that fire safety measures and evacuation procedures are in place and effective.

This course will provide you with the necessary training required to be a qualified fire marshal. It will educate you about what your legal duties are, will provide you with an understanding of fire, familiarise you with fire hazards and fire safety arrangements, and detail what your emergency evacuation procedures should entail. The information in the course will enable you to take responsibility for fire safety in your workplace and protect everyone’s wellbeing.

In association with NUCO Training, our experienced team is fully qualified to deliver training courses to staff in the office and work place. This is a general awareness course which is classroom based.

Course Outcomes

Identify the correct fire extinguisher for use on a range of different fires

Fire Safety Level 2 – 1 Day.

Suitable for learners who have responsibilities in the workplace to undertake fire safety duties and will provide learners with the knowledge to carry out designated Fire Warden/Marshall duties. This course will also increase fire safety awareness.
The classroom based Fire Marshall/Warden – Fire Safety Training Course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as Fire Wardens/Marshalls). Successful candidates will be awarded a national level 2 qualification (Level 5 in Scotland).

It covers the role of the designated Fire Marshal (Fire Warden) and you will learn about preventing fires, as well as the different types of fire extinguisher and how to use them correctly.

Fire Marshal Training Qualification.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 2 national qualification, issued to the learner subject to successfully completing the test paper.

This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA.

You will be aware of the potentially devastating effects of fires in the workplace in terms of lives lost, injuries, damage to property and the environment, and to business continuity. You may also be aware that it is believed that most fires are preventable. The importance of fire safety in the workplace is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.
