PERC offer a wide range of First Aid training, including Level 2 and 3 Awards in First Aid, courses include, First Aid at Work (FAW, 3 days), Emergency First Aid (EFAW, 1 day) and Basic Life Support (BLS, 3 hours). We provide bespoke First Aid training to support individual organisational needs with the emphasis being on practical training in the workplace, underpinned with theoretical knowledge. Re-qualification courses and refresher training is also offered to enable students to maintain their qualifications and competence, ensuring personnel are kept abreast of any changes in First Aid protocols. Completion of First Aid training will enable participants to deal with First Aid emergency situations safely, quickly and with confidence.
Basic Concepts
This Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation providing the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives.
The qualification covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), primary survey, the recovery position and choking, and is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines. A learner will gain first aid knowledge and the practical competence required to be able to help someone and potentially save a life.
